INTENSIVE ENGLISH COURSE
Learn English with our Intensive English Course! This full-time English class is communicative based with an emphasis on developing speaking and listening skills.   Our Intensive English class is designed to help ESL students improve both spoken and written English. With multiple levels of study, this course features a comprehensive curriculum of integrated skills - grammar, vocabulary & idioms, speaking & listening, and reading & writing.

You can study English with our professional, experienced and attentive instructors who guide students towards fluency with creative and helpful learning activities.  With 14 or less students in the classes, students have plenty of opportunity both to practice their English and meet interesting new friends from around the world.

A GEOS Intensive English class features a comprehensive curriculum with a focus on oral communication - speaking and listening. Well trained and highly qualified instructors help students improve their conversation skills through a variety of creative activities. There are multiple levels of study, from beginner through advanced. A placement test helps us find the best class level for each student. At the end of each four-week session, each student will receive a written evaluation and have a one-on-one counseling session with one of their teachers. This is how we help you monitor your progress. After each three month semester, students receive a report card, and students receive a GEOS certificate when they finish their course.

Our Intensive English Classes meet five days per week, for a total of 22 educational hours each week. Students work with two different teachers (one for the morning class and one for the afternoon class) and the most up-to-date, effective ESL textbooks and materials available.

Multi RoomPRIVATE LESSON COURSE
Private lessons are also available for personalized ESL study. Our instructors are certified to teach various special elective courses: TOEFL; TOEIC; business English; idioms and expressions; pronunciation and conversation.

Our experiences Report

About Lesson
Name Rina TANAKA Age 19 Nationality Japan
Course Intensive English course Term 1 years
Our experiences Report How do you like your lessons? Is four hours too much class for one day?
I enjoy my lessons every day. I was a little nervous when I first started, however, I got used to it so I am having fun now. I don't think four hour lessons are long, since I learn a lot and have so much fun in class.
How do you like your classmates?
I made a lot of friends at GEOS and it is fun. I always go to lunch with my classmate and also hang out with them after school.
Where do you go for lunch? Do you have a favorite place?
I usually go out for lunch. My favorite place is Jack in the Box.
Any comments for future GEOS students?
Your English will definitely improve a lot when you put in effort. So whoever hasn't decided to come to GEOS, should make up his mind. Let's study English together!

Course Intensive English course Term 3 months
Our experiences Report How do you like your lessons?
It is not easy to study every day, but I know I need to study English for job in my country, so I am studying hard.
How do you like your classmates?
Everybody is nice. I stay in North Shore because I like surfing. Some of my classmates like surfing, too, so I think Hawaii is great!
Where do you go for lunch?
I usually go out for lunch.
How do you spend your weekend?
I go surfing on weekends, but I have to speak English when I go surfing with my friends, so that I am practicing English on weekends.
Any comments for future GEOS students?
GEOS is in the center of Waikiki, which is good, but if you want to try surfing seriously, maybe you should come to North Shore!

About Private Lesson
Name Akemi ANZAI Age 50's Nationality Japan
Course Private lesson Term 1 week
Our experiences Report Why did you take private lessons?
Because I wanted to study a lot and concentrate to improve my English skills during my short vacation in Hawaii.
What do you think about GEOS Honolulu's private lessons?
There were very useful because I could learn many idioms and phrases. I enjoyed it very much.
What did you learn in your lessons?
I specially learned travel English. I could use what I learned in my lesson after school when I was shopping or at restaurant. I knew how to speak English, but I got to used to doing it outside of school so I did not have any trouble after the lessons.
Any comments for future GEOS students?
There are many ESL schools, but I like GEOS Honolulu because they teach me from the basics. I have lessons with many teachers and they are all nice. When you don't understand, you should say I don't understand, that will help you improve a lot.
