After spending 10 months at GEOS, Honolulu, I decided to try
other cities in the States to study English, because I had never
been to the mainland. I have a F1 visa, but GEOS group has many
schools in the States, so I stayed in Los Angels and San Francisco
and spent one month in each city. Then, I came back to Hawaii.
In Hawaii, I rent a condo and live by myself, but I did a homestay
in Los Angels. We watched soccer games on weekends, watched
TV and ate ice cream. That was a nice experience. I studied
speaking, listening, writing and reading at GEOS. I met a lot
of students from all over the world and they were all kind and
easy to talk to.
In Los Angels, I went to Starbucks, the library, the supermarket
and so on after school, and in San Francisco, I went to China
Town, Japan Town and went to see the movies with classmates.
It was very convenient for me to transfer and experience two
different cities in the States in such a short time. I found
there are many different cultures in America, but, Hawaii
is
the best and that is why I came back! |
